Ora (Auer) is a beautiful old village in the south of South Tyrol, at a height of 250 m above sea level, with many vineyards and nice walking paths.

During the past centuries floods made the level of Ora rise so high, that today for example you have to step down 8 steps to reach the portal of the parish church S. Pietro.

Further attractions are the church Madonna of the Rosary, constructed in the 17^th century.
Also the manor Ora with its Renaissance façade and the manor Baumgarten that used to be village castles are worth visiting.

A lovely walk goes from Ora to the Barbara chapel of the 13^th century and to the ruin field of Castelfeder.
This ruin field may be the most mysterious place in South Tyrol. The hill of the ruin field is sparcely overgrown.

The Gothic little church St. Daniel stands on a wine hill above Ora. The beautiful frescos in the interior of the church are worth seeing.
