The train station of Ciardes is very accessible.
From the train station of Stava you reach Ciardes in 2,2 km by train.

The platform lies a little further away from the village centre of Ciardes, (636 m a.s.l.) situated a bit higher on the hillside.

The station lies directly over the cycle and hiking path and is therefore an ideal starting point for walks and cycle tours in the beautiful landscape of the Val Venosta valley.

Crossing the bridge from the platform, you reach the SAD bus stop of the line 101 (Merano - Silandro - Malles), situated on the state road. The Gothic church of Saint Martin is worth visiting, it dates back to the 16^th century.
