From Bolzano follow the road of Val Sarentino / Sarntal. A few km before the village of Sarentino / Sarnthein, turn left until you reach the parking lot of the Restaurant Bad Schörgau. .

The hiking trail goes along the river Talvera into the heart of the green Val Sarentino / Sarntal. This quiet valley with scattered single farm houses, pastures and vast forests has maintained its peasant landscape.

Description

From the car park of the restaurant Bad Schörgau a forest road leads into the forest to the north for about 500 meters. Once you have reached a pasture area, go to the right, leaving the sports area to your left and go along the right bank of the river Talvera. After 2.2 km you reach Sarentino / Sarnthein and cross the village towards the church following via Andreas Hofer. At the castle of the Counts of Sarentino / Sarnthein turn left and go through the meadows, you will reach the North Industrial area (on a short moderate slope). At 4.6 km, at the Church of San Nicolò in Villa / Nordheim , cross the river and then follow the left bank up to the entrance of the town Campolasta / Astfeld . Return on the same itinerary.
