The beautiful village La Valle (Wengen) lies at 1.353 m above sea level, in a nice secluded corner of the Val Badia valley surrounded by pastures and forests.
The hamlets Cians, Ciampei and Runch are very nice Ladin ”Viles“ in the surroundings of La Valle.

Especially people who enjoy hiking and who are looking for recreation will be enthusiastic, the little village guarantees a relaxing holiday for the whole family. In summer many excursions lead you into the sunny hillsides of the surroundings.
It is worthwhile doing an excursion to the picturesque Armentara pastures, a little high terrace about 1800 m above sea level between La Valle and San Leonardo. These pastures can be compared to the famous Alpe di Siusi high plateau.
The Armentara pastures are towered over by the rock massifs Sasso delle Nove (stone of nine) and Sasso delle Dieci (stone of ten) that serve as natural sundial to the village inhabitants. At nine o’clock the sun is above the Sasso delle Nove and at ten o’clock it is over the Sasso delle dieci.
Behind these two mountain massifs lies a further beautiful Alpine pasture, the Fanes area in the nature park Fanes-Sennes-Braies.

In winter the around 9 km distant ski resort Alta Badia offers a wonderful skiing holiday in South Tyrol.
