Thuniversum, the Thun experience in Bolzano (Bozen)

Over 50 years ago, Ottmar Graf Thun and his wife Lene set up a small cellar workshop in a residence on the outskirts of Bozen.
Nobody suspected at the time that the ceramic art-works would become world famous. Above all, it was the singing angel that became a classic and, as the “Bozner Angel”, it became the symbol of Bozen craftwork. Next to this very traditional ceramic art-works there are lots of other objects as well as home accessories. They can be seen in the impressive “Thuniversum”, the Thun experience in Bozen.
Thuniversum is not only a showcase for Thun products: it represents a place where the visitor can relax in an environment of images which alternate from the Dolomites to angels flying through the sky. In this space there is the Live Production laboratory, where visitors can watch decorative artists at work; the store, where it's possible to buy an original souvenir, like the "Angel of Bolzano"; and a panopticon, 18 metres in diameter, where the most beautiful mountains in the world can be admired from a breathtaking viewpoint.
